Halifax, Peggy's Cove and the Annapolis Valley less than an hour away.
Shopping Centres, service stations, churches, golf courses, antique shops - all only minutes away.
The towns of Bridgewater, Mahone Bay, Chester and Lunenburg are only a few minutes from RayPort.
The town of Lunenburg, home of the famous racing schooner "Bluenose", seen on the back of the canadian dime, is only 12 miles away. Founded in 1752, Lunenburg has a rich history, rooted deeply in the fishing industry. "The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic" is certainly a must see when you are in Lunenburg.
Be sure not to leave your camera behind, the town of Mahone Bay is just five minutes from RayPort. The famous three churches of Mahone Bay are spectacular and make a wonderful backdrop for the Mahone Bay "Wooden Boat Festival".
Ross Farm Museum, only 18 miles away, is very worthwhile as well. A restored farmhouse and barns, complete with animals, take you back in time, the way farming used to be done, many many years ago.

Several miles of old logging roads lead away from the campground. These old roads and trails are ideal for hiking and biking. There is excellent trout fishing in the river. Several pools, lakes and still waters are within easy walking distance. You may even enjoy rubber tubing or rafting down the river as well.
